Vocational Rehabilitation & Evaluation Specialist

Essence Douglas brings more than a decade of professional experience to her role as Evaluation Specialist at Career and Employment Options (CEO). She conducts vocational assessments and develops individualized recommendations that help students and adults connect their abilities with employment and educational opportunities. With a background in human resources, accounting, and career counseling, Essence brings both analytical judgment and an understanding of what employers need and how individuals can build on their strengths to succeed in the workplace.

Essence joined CEO in November 2025 and has supported students through career consulting and evaluation services. A U.S. Navy veteran, certified life coach, and children’s book author, she also founded Aligned by Essence to support leadership and identity development. She holds an Executive MBA from NYU Stern and is pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership for Change at Fielding Graduate University, with a focus on transformational leadership and adolescent identity development.
