Vocational Engagement Model

A journey into the intersection of different disciplines to reinvent the job placement process.

Vocational Rehabilitation has made major strides in the implementation of supported employment beginning in the middle 1980s.  In contrast to that, the time frame of individual job placement services has not changed.

The Vocational Engagement Model (VEM) is designed to incorporate Vocational, Educational and Medical models of service into a structured format to achieve a more engaged client and staff as well as a great success rate. To expedite quicker placement, it is essential the  skill building and Shared Values Networking (social networking) is utilized through VEM’s Job Placement Service model .

VEM has effectively changed the way that CEO and other agencies provide job placement through the training models we designed.  VEM has improved all aspects of job placement from the initial engagement to client’s career quest and job search process. It enables staff to have a complete and more engaged relationship with the individual and the process itself.

“I attended Nicholas Villani’s training “Evolutional Change in Employment Supports: Vocational Engagement Model” recently and it far exceeded my expectations. I’ve attended many trainings and conferences, but this was by far the most impactful and informative in recent memory. I came out with tools, resources and ideas that I’m eager to implement within my program to change the way we engage people with disabilities looking for employment. The Vocational Engagement Model is designed for job placement services, but can easily be adapted for the supported employment, pre-vocational and transition worlds. A win all around! Nicholas was knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. Definitely worth the time out of a busy schedule.”
